Our plumbers will put your water heater through our thorough troubleshooting & repair process to make sure the heater is operating as it was when it was new. Depending on your specific unit, Ranger will perform the following checks:

Inspect tank, piping and overall installation to make sure everything is in working condition.  If there is an issue, such as rust spots in the tank, evidence of internal leaking, etc, our plumbers will identify the problem and take you through the necessary steps of the water heater replacement process.

Inspect surrounding piping and water heater shutoff valve for proper operation – verify no leaks.

Verify safe operating temperature of the water heater.

Inspect burner chamber, burner plate, pilot light, and gas valves to ensure gas is being delivered and burned safely and efficiently.

Clean dirt, buildup and debris from inside burner chamber

Verify vent off of water heater is safe and in good condition – verify no buildup or deterioration which could be a sign of improper water heater operation and a potential safety hazard.

Inspect proper draft of gas water heater.  Make sure that dangerous gases are being removed from the home properly.  Water heaters put off carbon monoxide which can be extremely dangerous if the heater is not drafting properly.

Inspect water heater thermostats for proper operation.

Verify proper operation of all heating elements.  Test for corrosion or element damage keeping your water heater from operating at its fullest capacity.
